"Our Secret Weapon": M² Nordic on Building Trust, Triple Sales, and 24 Years on the Costa del Sol

The first episode of The Growth Partners podcast features Robert and Jason from M² Nordic — and they almost didn't want to do it.

"I was hoping you wouldn't ask that question," Robert admitted when we brought up their experience with LeadHQL. "We would prefer to keep you guys for ourselves, like a secret weapon."

But after turning one Swedish investor into three property sales — and watching that client become a genuine friend — they agreed to share the full story.

The Gentlemen of the Coast

Jason arrived in Marbella 24 years ago, following his parents from Scotland when they moved to open an art gallery. Robert came from Norway 14 years ago, drawn by the climate and lifestyle that the Costa del Sol offers.

Together, they've built M² Nordic around a simple philosophy: calm, quiet, sincere, and honest.

"We're not a flash agency," Jason explained. "With us, it's intelligence and commitment. You get us completely — we don't pass you off to anyone."

That approach stands in stark contrast to larger agencies where high turnover means buyers often end up working with inexperienced agents who don't know the market. With M² Nordic, you work directly with Robert and Jason from start to finish.

Matching Energy Before Property

One of the most interesting insights from the conversation was how M² Nordic approaches the buying process differently than most agencies.

"The most important thing that clients generally don't understand or feel is the energy," Jason said. "You don't know Spain too well. You don't know Marbella too well. Where do you want to be?"

Rather than jumping straight to property listings, they focus on matching clients to the right location first — considering amenities, transport, schools, and the overall feel of an area. It's a methodology that prevents the common mistake of buyers moving somewhere that doesn't suit them.

"The most common mistake is probably the location. They don't exactly know the energy and feel of a location, and once they move there, they don't feel it."

From Lead to Triple Sale to Family

The conversation turned to their experience with LeadHQL, and Robert was refreshingly direct about his initial skepticism.

"We've all heard the horror stories. Long commitment fees. Steep prices just to get started. And all of this before you really know if it works."

What changed his mind was the lack of barriers. No commitment fees. No long contracts. No steep startup costs. Just a straightforward way to test whether it worked for their agency.

It did.

One introduction led to a Swedish entrepreneur who wanted to diversify into real estate. He started with one property, then signed for a second, and is now pursuing a third.

"He's become a good friend of ours," Jason said. "He started as a lead, and because he felt like family to us — because he felt the blood, sweat and tears behind searching for that one property — he's now decided to go for a second and third."

That's the M² Nordic approach in action: not just closing transactions, but building relationships that compound over time.

€500 Per Transaction to Charity

One detail that stood out was M² Nordic's approach to giving back. For every transaction, they donate €500 to a charity of the client's choosing.

"We wanted an experience for our clients that makes it more personal and meaningful," Robert explained. "Not just 'we donate yearly to X charity' — but something connected to each and every transaction."

Clients can choose whatever cause lies closest to their heart — whether that's supporting local dog shelters, international organizations like Mercy Ships, or community initiatives on the coast.

It's a small touch that reflects their broader philosophy: this isn't just about selling property, it's about doing business with ethics and integrity.

Finding Happiness in the Mundane

The podcast ended with a fire round of personal questions, and Jason's answer about happiness stuck with us:

"Finding the beauty in mundane normality is the key. When I say mundane normality, it's every single second of the day, finding happiness. Because if you're just looking forward to a holiday or something coming up, you're missing the point. The point is here and now."

For Robert, happiness comes from watching his child grow up in Marbella's outdoor environment — a stark contrast to the Norwegian climate he left behind.

Both answers pointed to the same truth: they've built businesses and lives that allow them to be present for what matters.
